The Ragdoll is a selectively bred cat developed in the 1960s by Ann Baker in California. Created to be both beautiful and exceptionally gentle, the breed was introduced to the UK in 1981. Today, Ragdolls are known for their calm, affectionate nature and relaxed temperament, making them ideal family companions.

The Ragdoll has a cream-colored body with darker extremities (mask, ears, legs, and tail). The chest is usually lighter than the rest of the body. The body color is darker in seal point than in chocolate point, and darker in blue point than in lilac point. Colorpoint cats must not have any white markings.
The bicolour ragdoll has a white chin, white chest, white undersides and white paws. A key feature is the white mask in the shape of an inverted “V”. Ideally, the mask begins in the middle of the forehead and extends over the eyes to the back of the chin. White markings on the back are permitted in the Bicolour Ragdoll.
